Pada sebuah event di Thailand, Acer bersama Intel mengumumkan sebuah ponsel Android baru yang dilabeli Acer Liquid C1. Ponsel tersebut ditenagai oleh chipset Intel Atom Z2420 terbaru dengan prosesor x86 berkecepatan 1.2GHz single core yang memiliki fitur Hyper-Threading.

Dengan dukungan chipset dari Intel tersebut, Acer Liquid C1 mampu menghadirkan proses encoding dan decoding 1080p menggunakan akselerasi hardware sehingga dapat mengambil 5 foto per detik dengan kamera utamanya.
Acer Liquid C1 berjalan dengan sistem operasi Android ICS, dan belum ada keterangan tentang ketersediaan update ke Jelly Bean. Rencananya, Acer Liquid C1 akan dirilis bulan ini (Februari) di Thailand, kemudian diteruskan di negara-negara di Asia Selatan.
